About

From inside the front flap:

The city of Toledo is a well-known terrorist target due to the nearby nuclear plant and its profitable riverside port.  The city is much safer than others, however – since it has been defended for almost a year by a team of teenagers known as the Team Erie Canal Heroes.

The six teens, best friends from a local high school, were given superhuman abilities by a not-quite-legal experiment by the mysterious governmental Department.  Led by Zoe Lee, the teens stop terrorism and common crimes in their territory.

But shortly after their sophomore year begins, the teens learn that something’s not quite right, and are soon given another set of teammates – freshmen at their school – to train.  Soon, the six heroes face problems in their friendships they have never encountered.  Juliet withdraws from her friends, afraid of her abilities, and Chloe begins to doubt herself – and strives for superiority instead.

As Team Erie Canal hurtles towards their unavoidable conflict with terrorist group Omega Ark, lines are drawn, friendships fail – and in the end, one of the twelve will fold under the pressure to betray the team, and one of them won’t make it out alive.
